Ethylene (C2H4)
DESCRIPTION (Ethylene):
Ethylene is a colorless, highly flammable gas with a
sweet odor and taste. It is shipped in gaseous form at cylinder pressures of approximately
1200 psig @ 70° F. Typical uses include accelerating the ripening of some fruits, as a
cutting gas, the organic synthesis of some compounds and as an inhalation anesthetic.
